With this integration, LOT has officially become one the few Airlines to officially accept Bitcoin for purchasing of tickets online. Some previous examples of Bitcoin integration are airBaltic and Lithuanian Air.

Technically the website doesn’t directly allow the purchase of tickets with Bitcoins but converts the fiat currency into current Bitcoin rate and after selecting the flight time and seats and providing some needed information, the user is redirected to the payment processor to complete the transaction.

Apart from Bitcoin LOT also Accepts PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Bank transfer for the sake of purchasing tickets online.

Conclusion

With LOT implementing Bitcoin, they have saved a fortune as well as passengers as cryptocurrencies are the safest and easiest means of Payment online. Worth Mentioning is that every 1 out of 3 tickets on LOT is made online.

Bitcoin gives an advantage for accepting payments as they are free of chargebacks so fake tickets cannot be an option here unlike Credit Cards and PayPal where Enterprises have to wait longer for payments to get verified as Bitcoin is successful for users as tickets would be verified instantly as payments are verified instantly.
