Exodus Review

(Last Updated On: April 27, 2019)

Exodus is a Desktop based wallet which is currently available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It is one of the best Desktop wallets I have experienced. Exodus was launched in 2016 and is not only a Bitcoin but a blockchain assets wallet which allows users to store, receive and send cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin, DOGE etc.

User Interface

The strongest feature of Exodus is probably it’s User Interface which always is easy to use and for newbies or experienced users as well, everyone just loves to use Exodus.

Users can simply go into settings add and remove cryptocurrencies and after adding each currency by simply clicking on it there is a Send and Receive option available which generates an address or address field when sending or receiving.

 Functionality

There are no limitations the private keys are not stored with the servers but are stored on your Computer and users are responsible and owner of their coins, cold storage backups can be made easily and can be used in case of loss of funds or any emergency.

People may always think that Exodus is open source but it is not actually, precisely it is not considered as 100% percent open source but only some modules are open source and can be reviewed by the general audience.

In Wallet Exchange

Many of the users using these wallets may have to surf around many exchanges to get coins but if you are an Exodus user there isn’t any hassle as Exodus has partnered with ShapeShift.

ShapeShift is an online platform which allows quick swapping or exchanging within two cryptocurrencies instantly like users can exchange BTC for LTC or vice versa using Shapeshift.

This service in Exodus has gained more audience towards it as now currencies can be exchanged using the wallet itself instantly which can be useful and handy for small-time traders.

Conclusion

Exodus is no doubt a legitimate and popular choice that can be used for storing coins, Hardware wallets are considered best for storing coins but if one cannot afford, Desktop wallets are the second best choices as they are more secure then web wallets.

Exodus is a multicurrency wallet and may integrate more currencies in the future.
